A conversation between Danielle Windsor, the founder of Yaitte, and Brand Assembly-

What inspired you to start your brand, was there a moment that made you say, this is it—I have to do this?
I have been a fashion designer for over 20 years now, but around 5 years ago I still felt there was a niche missing in the market for a high quality brand based on the travels and needs of the modern woman on the go but who still craved timeless pieces.

How did you get into the fashion industry?
I would say by mistake, I was doing a degree in Art when my professor opened up the world of fashion and the crossover between the two worlds.

What are the core values of Yaitte?
We simply believe in well made, well designed, consciously produced items that will stand the test of time.

What's the most unexpected place you’ve found inspiration for your brand?
I think it used to be unexpected but now I go to it as much as possible for inspiration is architecture, I love to be creative with new shapes and colours and I think with architecture you have centuries upon centuries of inspiration to draw upon.

When you're not building Yaitte, where might we find you?
Baking with my daughter.

What’s one piece from your collection that buyers must check out at the show?
We shall actually be launching at least three new styles of product at the show, I am keeping them close to my chest.... So please just be there :)

Anything else you want to share about the brand that you think our community would want to hear?
Hmm just that we are an organically growing business producing the majority of our collections with care in Europe. We want to make sure everything we make is created the right way and not over produced.
